The Protractor Game: Learn and Practice Measuring Angles

Instructions:

• This game helps you learn and practice measuring angles using a protractor.
• This game can be played using a mouse or a touchscreen.
• Press the Play Game button to begin playing the game.
• An angle diagram will appear on the canvas.
• The angle to measure is shown in blue. First, position the protractor over the angle. You can move the protractor by clicking or tapping the gray half-circle at its bottom center, then dragging it.
• Enter your answer in degrees using the input box (keyboard or on-screen numbers). When you're ready, click or tap the Submit Answer button.
• For each correct answer, you will be awarded points. Your score is displayed on the left side of the Results Bar that appears below the protractor.
• Points are awarded based on the following table.

• Every time you answer 5 questions correctly, you advance to the next level. Your current level is shown in the Results Bar.
• The timer is displayed to the right of the score in the Results Bar. As time passes, the bar shortens. It begins green, turns yellow, and finally turns red when only a few seconds remain.
• If time runs out before you enter the correct angle, you receive a strike.
• After three strikes, the game is over. The number of strikes is displayed on the right side of the Results Bar.
• Click the Settings button to adjust your preferences for the game.
  • Timer: The default setting is On. Select Off to have unlimited time to submit your answer.
  • Sounds: The default setting is On. Select Off to mute all game sounds.
  • Mode: The default mode is "Measure Angle." In this mode, you are shown an angle and must measure it. In "Create Angle" mode, you are given a degree value. Click or tap the gray circle, then drag to create an angle with that value. Use the plus and minus buttons or mouse wheel below the protractor to fine-tune the angle.
  • Angle Direction: The default setting is "Mixed," meaning the angle can open to the left or right. You can also choose to have the angle open only to the left or only to the right.
  • The current settings are always displayed in the lower-left corner of the canvas.
  • The settings you have selected are stored in your browser for the duration of your session. You can refresh your browser to start a new game, but if you close it, the settings will reset to default the next time you visit the game.
