Questions: Choose between "Fahrenheit to Celsius" and "Celsius to Fahrenheit" questions.
Rounding: By default, the "Closest" rounding option is selected. This means that if you are playing the "Fahrenheit to Celsius" game, you will have to round the exact answer to the closest whole number and then select that value on the thermometer. When playing the "Celsius to Fahrenheit" game, things get a bit more complicated. In this game mode, you must round to the closest, whole even number, since the Fahrenheit thermometer shows only even numbers. For example, if the question is: "Convert 6 Celsius to Fahrenheit, the exact answer is 42.8 ℉. You'll need to round it to 42 since there's no 43 on the Fahrenheit thermometer.
If you want to make the game a bit easier, you can select the "Within 1 degree" or "Within 2 degrees" rounding option. Then your answer will be marked correct if it's within 1 degree or within 2 degrees of the exact answer, respectively.
Mode: By default, you're in "Find" game mode. If you want to make the game easier, you can switch to "Training" mode. In Training mode, the current thermometer value is displayed between the minus and plus icons.
The current settings are always displayed in the lower-left corner of the thermometer.
The settings you have selected are stored in your browser for the duration of your session. You can refresh your browser to start a new game, but if you close it, the settings will reset to default the next time you visit the game.
