The Shopping Money Counting Game

Instructions:
- Use this game to learn how to sum up your purchases and then count bills and coins for the correct amount.
- This game can be played using a mouse or a touch-screen.
- Press the Play Game button to begin playing the game.
- Two or more dollar amounts will appear above the white play area.
- With your mouse or finger, click/tap and hold the bills and coins below the white play area and drag them one at a time to the white play area.
- When you believe you have moved the correct amount of money to the play area, click/tap the "Submit Answer" button below.
- For each correct answer, you will be awarded points. Your score is displayed on the left side of the Results Bar.
- You can select from two different timer lengths: 30sec (harder) and 60sec (easier). Points are awarded based on the following table.

- Each time you correctly answer 5 questions, you will advance to the next level. Your current level is indicated in the Results Bar.
- The timer is represented to the right of the score in the Results Bar. As time passes, the bar will get shorter.
- If you have not submitted your answer when the time runs out, you will receive a strike.
- Also for each incorrect answer, you will receive a strike. After three strikes, the game is over. The number of strikes you have received is indicated on the right side of the Results Bar.
- Click the Settings button to adjust your preferences for the game.
- Timer: Turn Off if you want to have unlimited time to submit your answer.
- Sounds: Turn Off to disable all game sounds.
- Difficulty: By default, the questions include decimals. If you want to make the game easier, choose Wholes.
- Timer: The default time limit is 30 seconds. If you want to make the game easier, choose 60 seconds.
- Range: By default, the price of each item in the questions is between $0-$10. If you want to make the game harder, you can choose a range of $0-$500 or $0-$100.
- # of Items: Choose how many items you would like to sum up.
- Mode: By default, you're in "game mode." If you want to make the game easier, you can select "Training" mode. In the training mode, you can see the current amount of money on the play area above the "Results Bar."
- All the settings will revert to default and your score will reset if you refresh your browser.
